It aims to release the chronic patterns of tension in the body through slow strokes and deep tissue pressure on the contacted areas, following or going across the fibers of the muscles, tendons, and fascia. Swedish Massage This massage focuses on long gliding strokes on the more superficial layers of the muscles, the emphasis being on stimulating the circulation of blood and all over relaxation.
